Article 1. Purpose
Tex Miles picks up an envelope or small parcel at the address given by the client and hands it to the recipient, in town, the same day or in the chosen time slot.
Ordering a run means accepting these terms. The specific terms of a contract signed with the client prevail over them.
Article 2. Service area
Zones covered by tickets: Dakar and its suburbs (Pikine, Guédiawaye, Rufisque and nearby towns), for pickup AND delivery. Elsewhere, the run is possible at the zone rate.
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm. A run ordered after 4 pm may be done on the next working day; the planned time is shown when you order.
Accepted items: documents, invoices to drop off, mail, envelopes, results and small parcels up to 5 kg that can be carried by motorbike.
Excluded: regulated biological samples (blood, specimens, infectious material) unless agreed in writing with transport conditions set with Tex Miles; cash other than a planned collection; goods banned by law or by the Tex Miles rate card (fresh food, alcohol, animals, hazardous materials).
Article 3. Ordering
The client orders from the client space (phone or computer), with an Excel list, through the API or on WhatsApp at +221 78 738 68 68. On WhatsApp, the client confirms the summary before the run is created.
The client gives the pickup contact and address, the recipient, their phone and address, what is carried and, if needed, a time slot and instructions. The price and payment method are shown before confirmation.
The client guarantees that addresses and phone numbers are correct. A duplicate run is flagged; it is only created if the client asks.
Article 4. Prices
Reference price of a standard run in Dakar and its suburbs: 2,000 FCFA. A price set in the client's contract prevails.
Urgent (express) run surcharge: 1,000 FCFA. Outside the area, several stops or long waiting: zone rate or surcharge, always shown before confirmation.
Payment method: book ticket, dedicated courier, on account (monthly invoice payable online) or paid per run, depending on the client's profile.
Prices are in CFA francs. Amounts billed on account follow the payment terms of the contract.
Article 5. Ticket books
Book of 20 runs: 30,000 FCFA (1,500 FCFA per run). Book of 50 runs: 50,000 FCFA (1,000 FCFA per run).
The book is active once payment is confirmed (online, cash, bank transfer or on invoice). It is valid for 6 months from that payment. Tickets not used by then are lost.
The book belongs to the company: all its staff can use it. The oldest book that has not expired is used first.
A ticket covers a standard run, one stop, pickup and delivery in Dakar or its suburbs. It cannot be combined with another discount.
The ticket is reserved when the run is created and used on delivery. A book is not refundable, exchangeable or transferable to another company.
Article 6. Cancellation and ticket return
Cancellation before the courier leaves for the pickup: free, the ticket goes back to the book.
Cancellation after the courier has left: the run is due, the ticket is used.
Run cancelled or not done because of Tex Miles: the ticket is returned, or the run is not billed.
Article 7. Failed delivery and new attempt
If the handover fails because of the client or the recipient (absent, unreachable, wrong address, refusal), the run is due and the ticket used.
If the failure is caused by Tex Miles, the ticket is returned.
A new attempt can be scheduled from the client space or with Tex Miles. It counts as a new run, unless the failure was caused by Tex Miles.
If no new attempt is possible, the item is brought back to the sender or kept at the Cité Keur Gorgui hub for 7 days, then brought back.
Article 8. Dedicated courier
Flat fee per day, week or month (from 25,000 FCFA, 100,000 FCFA, 350,000 FCFA for a motorbike courier), as per the signed contract.
The courier works within the contract hours, with a one-hour break in the middle of the day. Runs made during these hours are included in the flat fee.
Extra hours, waiting beyond 15 minutes and out-of-zone runs are billed as per the surcharges in the contract.
Tex Miles replaces an absent or unavailable courier with another courier as soon as possible.
The flat fee is billed under the contract, even if no run is ordered. It cannot be combined with tickets.
Article 9. Liability
Tex Miles is liable for loss of or damage to the item between pickup and handover, up to the declared value and the cap set in its rate card.
The client is responsible for the content of the item, its packaging and the accuracy of the information given.
Tex Miles is not liable for delays caused by force majeure, impossible access or wrong information.
Any amount to collect from the recipient is paid back as per the client's payout terms.
Article 10. Confidentiality of documents and data
Couriers do not read, copy or photograph the content of items. Only the handover photo, if requested, shows the closed item.
Run data (contacts, addresses, proofs) is used only for the service and tracking. It is never sold or passed on.
Each company only sees its own runs. Access is personal and logged.
Article 11. Proof of delivery
At handover, the courier records the name of the person receiving and, as chosen by the client, their signature, a photo or the handover code sent to the recipient.
The proof can be viewed in the client space as soon as the handover is done, with the time.
Proofs are kept for 12 months, then deleted, unless a claim is open.
Article 12. Claims
Any claim must be made within 48 hours after the handover or the planned date, from the client space (“Report a problem” button) or on WhatsApp at +221 78 738 68 68.
Give the run reference (TM…), the problem and, if possible, a photo.
Tex Miles answers within 2 working days and offers a solution: new run, returned ticket or credit note.
Article 13. Other provisions
Tex Miles may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on the platform on the day of the order.
These terms are governed by Senegalese law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution is sought before any action before the courts of Dakar.
