Install the Tex Miles app
Drivers, carriers and pickup points: install Tex Miles on your phone without any app store. It opens from your home screen and receives job notifications.
On Android (Chrome)
1Open Chrome and sign in to your Tex Miles space.
2Tap "Install the app" in the yellow banner, or the ⋮ menu then "Install app".
3Confirm: the Tex Miles icon appears on your home screen.
4Open the app, go to Profile and tap "Turn on notifications".
Barcode scanning with the camera works in Chrome on Android.
On iPhone (Safari)
1Open Safari (not another browser) and sign in to your Tex Miles space.
2Tap the Share button (square with an arrow pointing up).
3Choose "Add to Home Screen" then "Add".
4Open Tex Miles from the home screen, then Profile and "Turn on notifications".
On iPhone, notifications only work from the home screen icon (iOS 16.4 or later).
Notifications
You are told about a new job, an updated or cancelled job, and messages from Ops. You can turn them off at any time in Profile.
If nothing arrives: check that Tex Miles notifications are allowed in the phone settings.
Without a connection
Job screens you have already opened stay readable offline for 24 hours. Handovers and cash collection need a connection.
